Job Description:


  • Teaching and player development

  • Assist head coach with practice planning, practice execution, game strategy and game management

  • Recruiting

  • Monitoring student athletes' academic progress

  • Administrative duties assigned by the head coach



Requirements:


  • Required Degree(s): High School diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred Degree(s): Bachelor's degree
  • Preferred Field of Expertise: Coaching and/or playing experience at the collegiate level preferred
  • Required Licensure(s): Valid, insurable driver's license

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities


  • Strong knowledge of the sport of golf.
  • Exceptional leadership and strong organizational skills.
  • The ability to represent the philosophy and educational goals of American International College.
  • Ability to work evening, weekends, and holidays as the schedule dictates.
  • Knowledge of NCAA regulations and ability to pass NCAA recruiting test within 90 days.

Work Schedule


There are three openings for the part-time Assistant Golf Coach position. These are twelve month, exempt level, non-benefit eligible positions with fluctuating hours flexible to the needs of the department, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as the schedule dictates.


Position 1: This position is scheduled for 2 - 3 days per week from mid-August through October and March through mid-May.
During the off season (November through February and mid-May through mid-August), this position will assist with recruiting, as needed.


Position 2: This position is scheduled for 1 - 2 days per week from mid-August through October and March through mid-May.
During the off season (November through February and mid-May through mid-August), this position will assist with recruiting, as needed.


Position 3: This position is scheduled for 5 - 6 days per week from mid-August through October and March through mid-May.
During the off season (November through February and mid-May through mid-August), this position will assist with recruiting, as needed.


Please note: The salary for each position is a modest stipend.
