Primary Purpose of the Organizational UnitThe Department of Public Health Education, which includes 20 full-time
faculty members, is a highly active center of research, teaching, and
community engagement. We are committed to social justice, diversity, and
inclusivity in all aspects of our work. Members of our department often
collaborate with external partners to impact local and global communities. Our
faculty have received external funding from private, local, and federal
agencies to support their work. Our department offers three public health
degree programs in Community Health Education (a PhD program, a CEPH-
accredited MPH program, and a campus-based B.S. program). We also offer
an online B.S. program in Health Studies, which was ranked #1 best online
Public Health Degree in 2018 by the SR Education Group. In addition, we just
began offering two post baccalaureate certificates: one in Workplace Wellness
and one in Health and Wellness Coaching.
This person will provide project and grants management support to the LGBTQ Domestic Violence Response Initiative, funded by the Governor’s Crime Commission in the Department of Public Health Education. This person will review invoices for accuracy and appropriateness from project partners, ensure that project expenses from partners and at UNCG align with approved line items and allocations, update budgets, attend meetings with project leadership and partners, develop financial reports, communicate with partners around budgets and invoicing, complete Banfin and TRV forms, communicate regularly with others at UNCG involved in the finances of the project (e.g., HHS Dean’s Office Staff, Contracts and Grants, HHS Office of Research, Human Resources, and Accounting), Provide logistical support for meetings and events, and communicate with outside consultants or with external community organizations/groups.
Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s Degree
Experience with Data and/or accounting.
Ability to work remotely, if required.
UNCG experience with Banner and working on grant-funded projects.
Experience with budgeting
Good communication skills

As a cultural leader, UNCG offers concerts, lectures, dance and theater performances, exhibitions at the internationally known Weatherspoon Art Museum and readings by nationally known authors. In athletics, Spartan teams compete in nine women's and nine men's sports in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. With ethnic minority students making up 26 percent of the student body, UNCG is the most diverse of the UNC system's historically white campuses.
Although much has changed, some things remain the same. The university motto — “Service” — continues to be a guiding principle put into practice through all aspects of university life.

The University's Academic Affairs Division consists of seven academic schools, the College of Arts & Sciences, the Graduate School and the Lloyd International Honors College. The names below are the ones currently in use. In some cases, the names have changed since the academic units were founded. The schools and their dates of establishment are: Graduate School 1921-22;College of Arts & Sciences 1969, Lloyd International Honors College 2005, Joint School of Nanoscience & Nanoengineering 2007, Joseph M. Bryan School of Business & Economics 1969, School of Education 1921, School of Health and Human Sciences 2011, School of Music, Theatre and Dance 2010, and School of Nursing 1966.
