Boston University is seeking caring, passionate individuals to work in their COVID-19 Back2BU Health and Safety Initiative. Under the combined leadership of Student Health Services and Occupational Health exemplary candidates will act as patient advocates providing education and services for multi-faceted aspects of COVID-19 including testing, results notification, quarantine, isolation, contact tracing, and community resources. Training in all areas will be provided.

Boston University is seeking Results Notification Specialists as part of its COVID-19 Recovery Plan. The Results Notification Specialists will follow up with individuals who test positive for COVID-19, coordinate isolation unit needs with Residence Life, and provide isolation instructions. Clinical decision making, responding to questions and providing medical advice will be necessary.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide telephonic follow-up/case management for positive COVID-19 university staff and students.
  • Educate and counsel on COVID-19 symptoms and isolation guidelines.
  • Follow protocols and guidelines based on CDC and MDPH recommendations.
Required Skills
  • RN or Athletic Training License in MA and certification
  • Excellent interpersonal and telephonic communication skills
  • Proficiency with computers
  • Experience with electronic medical records
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Ability to speak Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred

This is a regular, staff position with eligibility for BU Benefits including health, dental, retirement, subsidized MBTA, and generous paid-time off.

This position can be remote after 4 weeks of in-person training.

Available Shifts:

Sunday 7:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday 12:00 pm - 10:00 pm, Tuesday 7:00 am - 5:00 pm, Wednesday 7:00 am - 5:00 pm

Wednesday – Saturday 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm
