Job Summary The Clayton State University School of Nursing within the College of Health is accepting applications for full-time employment in the Master of Science in Nursing degree program. This is a full-time, 10-month faculty position that reports to the Associate Dean and the MSN Program Director. The faculty member is expected to provide mentoring, excellent support, and technology training. This 10-month term or tenure-eligible faculty position primarily serves as faculty for the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program and incorporates traditional faculty roles of teaching, scholarship, practice and service that is consistent with a term or tenure-eligible faculty appointment. Specifically, this position includes involvement in (1) curriculum development, (2) implementation (3) evaluation, (4) online instruction of students, (5) coordination of multiple clinical sections and clinical education sites, (6) developing preceptors and appropriate clinical sites for FNP students, (7) clinical supervision of individual FNP students, (8) engagement in scholarly activity and, (9) service to the school and university.

Faculty members are engaged and active participants of school governance activities; implement and attain annual achievements consistent with rank as well as those that would lead to promotion to a higher rank. Appointment to academic rank and salary are dependent on demonstrated scholarly achievement and teaching experience. The ideal candidate will have had previous teaching experience and be credentialed as a family nurse practitioner

Required Qualifications

Doctoral degree (PhD or DNP) in nursing or related fieldProven track record of scholarship and publishing making them eligible for appointments as associate or full professorGraduate teaching experience in a Family Nurse Practitioner Program strongly preferredCurrently certified as a Family Nurse PractitionerExperience in a practice role
