The Clinical Assistant Professor of Infectious Diseaseposition will practice in an infectious disease service line clinic. This position is actively involved inpatient care and teaching medical students and residents in the ambulatoryclinics, as well as the hospital surgery/inpatient service. Appropriate effort and activity in clinicalresearch and service will also be necessary as well as a clinical record ofsufficient depth to qualify for faculty appointment at the rank of Clinical AssistantProfessor. The position will work withexisting with OSU-CHS administration to develop an operational practice. This positionmay be split between OSU-CHS and the US Department of Veteran’s Affairs (VA).
Possible exposure to hazardous material, hot and cold, blood borne pathogens.

Skills, Proficiencies and Knowledge:
Requires a DO or MD degree, eligibility for licensurein the state of Oklahoma, Board Certification in Internal Medicine, and adevoted interest in education. Knowledge of all areas related to clinic workflow. Theposition requires strong analytical skills, advanced multi-tasking skills, andadvanced problem-solving skills. Computer skills are needed to operateelectronic medical records. Good communication and leadership skills are a positive. Interpersonal skills are required to interacteffectively with faculty, students, clients and providers.
