The School of Humanitiesinvites you to enroll in our Adjunct Instructor talent pool. Our adjuncts teach daytimeand/or evening course(s). MVCC classes are offered in traditional classroomsettings, online, and hybrid formats. Specific needs for instruction aredetermined at the beginning of each semester. You may be invited to apply asopenings become available.

Qualifications:

Composition—Master’s degree in related field &Bachelor’sdegree in discipline
Film Appreciation, Music Appreciation, Art Appreciation, ArtHistory, and Philosophy—Master’s degree in related field
History—Master’s degree in related field &Bachelor’sdegree in discipline
Journalism—Bachelor’s degree in related discipline &inexperience in discipline
Literature—Master’s degree in related field & Bachelor’sdegree in discipline
Speech—Master’s degree in related field &Bachelor’sdegree in English, Communications, or Theater
Technical Theater Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience
Theater—Master’s degree in related field
CF100 (College Foundations Seminar) Bachelor’s degree inrelated discipline
Critical Thinking/Reading—Master’s degree in related field
Educational Interpreting—Master’s degree in related field& Bachelor’s degree in discipline, certificate in discipline

Organization

Mohawk Valley Community College has more than 800 full-time and part-time employees at our campuses in Utica and Rome, NY. We are located in the Central New York region at the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains between Syracuse and Albany, NY in Oneida County.

Founded in 1946 as one of the first community colleges in New York State, MVCC is one of 64 campuses that are part of the State University of New York.
