MVCC classes are offered in traditional classroomsettings, online, and hybrid formats. Specific needs for instruction aredetermined at the beginning of each semester. Composition—Master’s degree in related field &Bachelor’sdegree in discipline
Film Appreciation, Music Appreciation, Art Appreciation, ArtHistory, and Philosophy—Master’s degree in related field
History—Master’s degree in related field &Bachelor’sdegree in discipline
Journalism—Bachelor’s degree in related discipline &inexperience in discipline
Literature—Master’s degree in related field & Bachelor’sdegree in discipline
Speech—Master’s degree in related field &Bachelor’sdegree in English, Communications, or Theater
Technical Theater Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience
Theater—Master’s degree in related field
CF100 (College Foundations Seminar) Bachelor’s degree inrelated discipline

Mohawk Valley Community College has more than 800 full-time and part-time employees at our campuses in Utica and Rome, NY. We are located in the Central New York region at the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains between Syracuse and Albany, NY in Oneida County.
