Job Description:



Adjunct Instructor- Tailoring Women's & Men's


Individuals appointed will teach Tailoring classes at various levels for the Fashion department for students studying toward their AAS and BFA degrees. The positions require a comprehensive knowledge of classic, bespoke tailoring techniques. The instructor will teach an array of hands-on techniques aiding in the construction of a finely executed tailored, fully lined suits jackets/blazers. All applicants must demonstrate a minimum of six years full-time employment as tailors that created garments from the cutting of cloth through the finishing details of a bespoke garment. Extensive experience in alterations will not be sufficient. Instructors are required to assess student performance and submit grades within the academic timetable.








Requirements:



AAS Degree preferred and a candidate must have a minimum of 6 years as a "Master" tailor. If a candidate does not have an AAS degree, they must have 10 years of experience as a "Master" tailor. Basic computer literacy is required. Previous teaching at the college level is preferred.



Additional Information:


Hourly rate: $72.08 per hour
