The University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Department of Family Medicine/Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine of the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine (TCOM), is seeking physicians’ board certified in Family Medicine and/or Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine to become faculty with its growing Department. TCOM is a leader in comprehensive primary care and rural medicine and consistently named one of the nation’s top 50 medical schools for primary care and recognized in curricular innovation and academic performance. We are in the heart of Fort Worth, one of “America’s Most Livable Communities” and have thriving culture, commerce, Historic Stockyards, remarkable museums, a vibrant and clean downtown area, Botanical Gardens and great annual events!

Position Summary

The Family Medicine Department at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire an Assistant /Associate Professor to join our team. This position is for a Family Medicine Residency Program Director located in Granbury, Texas.

Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

  • Teaching and mentoring of medical students.
  • Resident supervision with our ACGME approved Residency Programs in Family Medicine, may include Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (ONMM)
  • Ambulatory patient care.
  • Research and academic scholarly activity required with protected academic time.
  • Inpatient family medicine, may include OMM service coverage.
  • Minimal call.

In addition, UNT is developing Discovery Park, a research park with technology incubator facilities on a 300-acre property near the main campus. The university also has developed a Design Research Center in the heart of the Dallas design district.
