Job Description
Two Postdoctoral Associate positions are available in the Department of Surgery at the University of Missouri-Columbia. The research program examines molecular mechanisms of cardiovascular and liver diseases. Current focus is on smooth muscle phenotypic modulation, vascular remodeling, atherosclerosis, aortic aneurysm as well as fatty liver diseases.
QualificationsApplicants should be highly motivated and have a Ph.D. in the biological sciences with experience/expertise in cardiovascular- or liver-related research. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in smooth muscle, fibroblast, macrophage, or liver biology. Experience with animal models such as artery injury, aortic aneurysm and fatty liver diseases is also highly desirable.
