Bachelor’s Degree. Must have background in natural resource management or related field.


Master’s degree

Primary Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include some or all of the following: developing a project, writing a thesis, supervision of undergraduate assistants, teaching, related coursework.

-Monitor collared pronghorn on 2 study sites
-Analyze GPS collar data
-Starts Fall 2020

-Large, private ranches near Barnhart and Van Horn, TX.
-Sul Ross Range Animal Science Center labs, Alpine, TX.


-Strong work ethic
-Attentiveness to details
-Quantitative reasoning skills required
-Organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
-Must be willing to work independently and as part of a team
-Must be a Texas resident
-Must be enrolled or admitted as a graduate student at SRSU
-GPA of ≥2.5
-GRE ≥ 290
