Incumbent will be responsible for support of BSL-2 laboratory activities. Incumbent is responsible for the laboratory support duties such as washing and autoclaving glassware, routine and preventative maintenance of lab equipment. The incumbent will be responsible for preparing culture media, reagents, buffers and other solutions. Incumbent will be expected to order, stock and inventory supplies as needed; maintain a clean and sterile lab environment; assist with administration duties such as package shipping and receiving, mail retrieval, answering phones and processing visitors. Incumbent must have good communication skills and will report directly to the Research Manager and as a fully productive, cooperative team member.

Basic laboratory skills, including sterile technique, cell culture and basic analytical skills.

Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
