Description:

Albion College invites applications for the Web Producer position. We are especially interested in candidates who will contribute to a campus climate that supports equality and diversity. 

The Web Producer, under the guidance of the Associate Director of Web Technologies, will create, edit or otherwise produce content for Albion College's web presence. This includes but is not limited to daily updates, development in the content management system, and third-party applications.  The Web Producer is responsible for keeping College web content fresh, dynamic, and engaging  while ensuring  content adheres to industry best practices, federally mandated accessibility standards, voice/tone, and brand guidelines. The overall efforts from the position will help in the areas of student recruitment, fundraising, alumni engagement, student activities and services, and academic departments and programs. Must exhibit an appreciation of, a sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse environment, inclusive of students, faculty and staff of many social, economic, cultural, ideological, racial and ethnic backgrounds.

FLSA Classification: Salaried / Exempt / Administrative
Status: Full-time
Duration: 12 months per year; Two-year term, with potential for continued employment


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in web content production, and the administration of content management systems, with preference to open-source systems.

  • Work experience in higher education or the nonprofit sector preferred; experience in an online newsroom environment preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience in the administration and development of constituent relationship management systems.

  • Knowledge of, and experience in, WCAG accessibility
