Job Summary: Primarily responsible for safety, care, and supervision of youth. Works closely with program staff to maintain and promote safety in the therapeutic environment. This position is also expected to understand and implement the client treatment plan for each client under his/her care.

Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent and some therapeutic, rehabilitative or behavior management experience or Bachelor’s degree or higher in social work, counseling, psychology, human development and family studies, criminal justice, nursing or education. Must be able to work outside of normal hours, which may include nights and/or weekends, and be available for travel within the state of Alabama. Applicant must demonstrate use of sound judgment and ability to remain calm during a crisis. Must be able to perform physical crisis intervention techniques, including, but not limited to, restraint of students using Control Tactics methods. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
