Lead Application Developer Job Number Full/Part Time Schedule Salary 202005074564 Full Time 8AM - 5PM $77,300 - $152,200 Position Information The Lead Application Developer provides general application development recommendations and guidance to a team of development colleagues. Serves as the technical lead on a development team in support of organizational priorities. Working with the Lead Application Architect, develops specifications for new products/services, applications and service offerings such a microservices and cloud; assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent applications and systems; and contributes to the overall development portfolio. Negotiates with stakeholders on the creation of software specifications. Reviews software application code prior to implementation to verify consistency and conformance to departmental guidelines and policies as well as industry best practices. Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendations for approval of system and programming documentation. Ensures project reports and documentation are updated. Under the direction of the Information Technology Solutions (ITS), this position provides advanced systems design, development, programming and technical expertise to the Human Resources (HR), Academic Personnel Office (APO) and other campus departments as needed. Provides technical skill and leadership in activities supporting the automation of business and administrative processes including planning, designing, programming, troubleshooting, deploying, maintaining, updating and documenting complex software and databases for both custom designed and vendor supplied systems. Acts as a liaison between HR, APO and developers to enhance technological efficiencies.PLEASE NOTE - Information Technology Solutions (ITS) career employees at UC Riverside who have passed their probationary period will receive priority consideration for this position. Experience Experience Requirement 6 - 10 years of related experience. Required Demonstrated experience with Human Resources and Academic Personnel Office enterprise level applications. Preferred Experience in GRAILS/Angular application development. Required Experience working with Oracle and other SQL databases. Required Experience with data migration across application platforms. Preferred

Minimum Requirements Demonstrated ability to understand functional needs and how systems can support those needs. Demonstrated ability to develop conversion and system implementation plans.
Experience developing and executing complex test plans.
Advanced experience with planning for deployment and creation of feedback mechanisms.
Demonstrated complex problem- solving skills.
Highly advanced skills associated with software specification, design, modification, implementation and deployment of large-scale scope.
Excellent project leadership and management skills.
Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.
Advanced experience with identification and use of code libraries and open-source forums.
Advanced knowledge of secure software development.
Demonstrated software repository skills.
Advanced knowledge of Grails/Angular development environments.
Ability to recommend technical solutions to complex problems in business processes.
Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with Human Resources and Academic Personnel business processes.
