Enroll in the School of STEM (Transfer) Adjunct Talent Pool
The School of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (Transfer) invites you to apply for our adjunct talent pool. Disciplines in our School include Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geology, Engineering, Mathematics, and the Computer Sciences. Our adjuncts teach daytime and/orevening course(s). MVCC classes are offered in atraditional classroom settings on our Utica or Rome campuses and in online and hybrid formats. Specific needs forinstruction are determined at the beginning of eachsemester. You will be invited to apply as needs are determined. You must subsequently apply to specific positions to be considered for hire.

Qualifications:

• Biology, or Environmental Science Lab - Bachelor’s degree in related discipline & relevant work experience
• Biology, or Environmental Science Lecture - Master’s degree in related discipline
• Chemistry Lab - Bachelor’s degree in discipline
• Chemistry Lecture – CH120 and lower - Bachelor’s degree in discipline AND Master’s degree in discipline/related field or prior teaching experience
• Computer Science - Master’s degree in discipline OR Bachelor’s degree in discipline & relevant work experience
• Cybersecurity - Master’s degree in discipline OR Bachelor’s degree in discipline & relevant work experience
• Engineering Science - Bachelor’s degree in physics or engineering AND Master’s degree in physics/related field or relevant work experience
• Geology Lab - Bachelor’s degree in related discipline
• Geology Lecture - Master’s degree in related discipline
• Mathematics - Bachelor’s degree in discipline AND relevant work experience
• Physics Lab - Bachelor’s degree in discipline or related field
• Physics Lecture—PH131 and lower- Bachelor’s degree in discipline AND Master’s degree in discipline or related field or prior teaching experience.
• Physics Lecture – PH151 and higher - Master’s degree in discipline or related field
• Weather Lecture or Lab - Bachelor’s degree or higher in atmospheric science or Meteorology (or the equivalent) from an accredited college or university and/or relevant work experience

Mohawk Valley Community College has more than 800 full-time and part-time employees at our campuses in Utica and Rome, NY. We are located in the Central New York region at the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains between Syracuse and Albany, NY in Oneida County.

Founded in 1946 as one of the first community colleges in New York State, MVCC is one of 64 campuses that are part of the State University of New York.
