The School of Public and Human Services invites you to apply for our adjunct talent pool. Our adjuncts teachdaytime and/or evening course(s). MVCC classes are offered in traditionalclassroom settings, online, and hybrid formats. Specific needs for instructionare determined at the beginning of each semester. You will be invited to applyas needs are determined. You must apply to specific positions to beconsidered for hire.

Qualifications:

• Education - Master’s degree in discipline, active NYS teacher certification & 3 years classroom teaching experience
• Physical Education – Coaching Certificate - Bachelor’s degree in other discipline & relevant experience
• Psychology & Human Service - Master’s degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work (MSW), School Counseling (CAS), or School Psychology and/or NY State licensure (Licensed Master of Social Work –LMSW), Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Mental Health Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Creative Arts Therapy, Psychoanalysis
• Psychology & Human Service with Education Emphasis - Master’s degree in discipline, license &
certificate in discipline
• Physical Education – Athletics - Associate’s degree, relevant experience and/or certification in discipline
• Physical Education – Education - Majors Bachelor’s degree in related discipline & relevant experience
• Physical Education – General - Associate’s degree and relevant experience and/or certification in discipline
• Physical Education – Recreation & Leisure - Bachelor’s degree in related discipline & Services relevant experience
• Social Sciences – Anthropology - Master’s degree in related field AND Bachelor’s degree in discipline
• Social Sciences – Criminal Justice - Master’s degree in discipline OR Bachelor’s degree in discipline and years of relevant work experience
• Social Sciences – Political Science - Master’s degree in related field AND Bachelor’s degree in discipline
• Social Sciences – Public Policy - Master’s degree in related field AND Bachelor’s degree in discipline
• Social Sciences – Sociology - Master’s degree in related field AND Bachelor’s degree in discipline

Organization

Mohawk Valley Community College has more than 800 full-time and part-time employees at our campuses in Utica and Rome, NY. We are located in the Central New York region at the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains between Syracuse and Albany, NY in Oneida County.

Founded in 1946 as one of the first community colleges in New York State, MVCC is one of 64 campuses that are part of the State University of New York.
