Job Summary This position fosters student engagement and success by promoting a campus culture of social responsibility, well-being, and safety. This position is responsible for administration of the university’s Student Code of Conduct. This position serves as a primary point of contact for student wellbeing and crisis response. This position is responsible for assisting compliance with federal and state discrimination and sexually harassment laws.

Responsibilities
    Directs student rights and responsibilities programs and services. (50%)Manages student conduct, wellbeing outreach, crisis response coordination, and preventative programs.Administers the Student Conduct Code; coordinates annual conduct code review and updates; administers Student Conduct Code processes.Provides guidance and support for student grievances.Provides advocacy for students with university departments and programs.Serves as a Title IX investigator.Facilitates and coordinates preventive programs related to alcohol and drug abuse, relational violence, and other related behavior concerns.

    Coordinates student crisis response activities. (40%)Coordinates student crisis response and behavior intervention team activities.Conducts student wellness checks and follows-up with students after crisis, incidence, and/or personal issues.Assists with onsite response to students in crisis situations.

    Provides support for other university programs and activities and other related duties. (5%)Attends university sponsored student programs as appropriate.Advises designated student organizations.Collaborates with colleagues to contribute and support university and DSES priorities and initiatives.

    Maintains required knowledge in the field. (5%)Keeps abreast of current best practices related to student conduct, crisis response, and behavior intervention.Maintains up-to-date knowledge and implements best practices related to student development, diversity and inclusion, and student engagement.Maintains thorough knowledge of federal, state, USG, and university policies and regulations related to Student Engagement and Success.
Required Qualifications
    Master’s degree in education, human resources, student services, or a related field; orBachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of experience in student conduct in higher education or with Title IX; orEquivalent combination of education and experience.
