Organizational Unit Overview:The Brody School of Medicine is known nationally for its commitment to family medicine. The successful candidate will join six primary care providers in a state-of-the-art medical practice located off-campus that is designed for convenient and comprehensive medical care with a patient focus.
Job Duties :The Firetower Medical Office location of the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University (ECU) is seeking a board-certified/board eligible Family Medicine or Med/Peds physician.
The faculty member will join the Department of Family Medicine and will participate in a variety of teaching, clinical, and scholarly activities. Duties include outpatient primary care with some Saturday sessions.
On-call responsibilities will also be assigned for regular schedule and designated holidays on a rotating basis.
The Brody School of Medicine is affiliated with Vidant Medical Center which is the flagship hospital for Vidant Health and serves as the principal teaching hospital for ECU.
Tenure track or fixed term position available at the Assistant Professor level or higher.
Minimum Education/Experience :MD or equivalent from an appropriately accredited institution
Board-certified/board eligible Family Medicine or Med/Peds physician
License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation :N/A
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education :Familiarity with an electronic records system preferred.
