Job Responsibilities

In order to build an active pool of qualified applicants, Piedmont Technical College is accepting applications for adjunct faculty(temporary, part-time) to teach at the Lex D. Walters Campus and/or our six county campuses in Laurens, Newberry, Edgefield, Saluda, Abbeville, and McCormick during the day/evenings, on-line and dual credit instructors to teach in high schools. Applications will be reviewed on an as needed basis. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching varying schedules to a diverse student body in accordance with the established syllabi at a variety of locations utilizing technology and using a variety of teaching methods in instruction.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Biology or closely related field for Laboratory instruction.
Master's degree in Biology, or a master's degree with 18 graduate hours in the discipline. Successful candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate education. Excellent customer service skills are required. Please submit a copy of your graduate transcripts (unofficial copies acceptable) with your application.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience, especially at the community and technical college or secondary level.
