University of Missouri – St. Louis College of Education Adjunct Faculty

The Department of Educator Preparation and Leadership at the University of Missouri-St. Louis is continuously seeking qualified candidates for part-time adjunct faculty positions. The intent of this announcement is to identify a pool of adjunct faculty who are qualified to deliver undergraduate and masters courses in Early Childhood Education. Courses could include, but are not limited to Implementation, Evaluation and Assessment in Early Childhood Education; Acquisition of Mathematical and Scientific Concepts; Foundations of Early Childhood Education; Literacy, Learning and Instruction for the Young Child.

Courses are taught traditional, hybrid, and/or online formats, at locations in the St. Louis metro region and at the UMSL campus.

Adjunct are appointed for summer (2 to 8 week courses), fall (mid-August to mid-December) and spring (mid-January to mid-May) semesters. Appointments are for each semester as needed and are non-benefit, non-tenure-accruing positions.

Minimum Qualifications

A master’s degree in early childhood education, child development, or related field is required.

Preferred Qualifications
Ph. D. in early childhood education or child development.
Experience working with young children from birth to age eight.
Higher education teaching experience
On-line teaching experience using the Canvas LMS
