The Translational Biomaterials Research Laboratory (TBRL) in the Bioengineering Department at the University of Colorado Denver Anschutz Medical Campus is looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow who has experience in synthesis and engineering of functional biomaterials for tissue engineering application with special emphasis on neural or cardiac tissue engineering. This work will be funded by the NIH. Duties in this position:
Synthesizing and fabricating biomaterials
Conducting cell culture and animal studies
Writing animal protocol
Attending regular meeting
Helping PI write grants
Managing lab safety

Qualifications Minimum Requirements: • Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, materials science, or related disciplines.
Preferred Requirements: • A strong record of publications in peer-reviewed journals. • Experience in polymer chemistry, hydrogel synthesis and characterization, cell culture, and animal experiments is desired and a considerable plus. • The fellow is expected to work in a highly interdisciplinary environment and drive scientific and technical innovation with other members of the group • Outstanding communication skills including both oral and written presentation are required.
