Job Responsibilities

To serve as Lead manufacturing technical instructor for the college. The instructor will develop curriculum outline and design multiple modalities of instruction. The instructor will provide assistance to students and administration by promoting technical manufacturing education. The instructor will participate in developing community and industry outreach. This position primary assignment is in the Prison Education Division.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

Associate Degree in Machine Tool Technology and/or Computer Numerical Control (CNC), Vocational Education or related fields in Welding. Qualifications and knowledge of AWS, NIMS, NCRC, MSSC, MSI, NCCER Certifications and/or industrial experience to attain certification.

Preferred Qualifications

NETC preferred qualifications: Bachelors degree in Technology, Education, or Management.

Additional Comments

Knowledge of principles and procedures pertaining to higher education. Knowledge and/or work experience. Knowledge of standard business practices and accepted protocol for areas of responsibility. Knowledge of college mission, goals, objectives, and ability to related these to areas of responsibility. The teaching environment includes classroom and lab, requiring local travel to business/industry and all campuses and some short-term travel may be required for professional meetings and training. Professional development may require some overnight stays. Valid Driver's License is required. Teaching responsibilities may be required on all campuses, including in state and/or federal prison programs.
