Fall 2020 SUNY Cortland Admissions Tour Guide

Job Description/Duties:

Provide tours to prospective students and their families. Talk about your experiences at SUNY Cortland. Participate in online chats.

Days/Hours Needed:

At minimum tour guides are responsible for covering a 3 hour shift a week. Participation during Open Houses hosted on October 12th & November 11th. Tour guides are also asked to sign up for Saturday visit programs and daily group visits.

Campus Location/Bldg.:

Miller Building, Admissions Office

Required Qualifications:

- Strong communication skills
- Excellent public speaker
- Love for SUNY Cortland
- Ability to relate well to others

Preferred Qualifications:

- Previous experience volunteering with the admissions office
- Experience working with diverse populations

Physical Demands:

- Ability to walk around campus for at least two hours
- Ability to project voice to large crowds
