Saybrook University is seeking a Federal Work Study Student: To serve as Project Assistant for the Online Learning Specialist.

Under the direction of the Online Learning Specialist, the Federal Work Study Student: Project Assistant is responsible for carrying out a variety of tasks to assist the Online Learning Specialist in training and support relating to Canvas and other technology-related projects.

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting students, faculty, and staff with Canvas-related issues and training
• Working with OneDrive and other Microsoft applications
• Creating and editing video, audio, and other multimedia products
• Assisting with large-scale projects in Canvas and other applications

Position Requirements:

• Candidate must be a current Saybrook student in good standing.
• Must have applied for federal work study via the FAFSA
• Candidate must present and express her/himself well to carry out contact with faculty and students.

Position Qualifications:

• Candidate must demonstrate competence in writing, MS Office 365 applications, Canvas, and multimedia software.
• Technologically skilled in communication, presentation, and online learning systems
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.The position also requires hours of typing, compute work, and reading each week.

• Must be able to communicate with students and staff via email and/or over platforms such as Zoom.
