Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit:The MEHT Department has 21 full-time faculty and offers three B.S. degrees (Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and Sustainable Tourism and Hospitality). It is one of six academic departments of the Bryan School of Business & Economics. The Bryan School of Business & Economics has over 4,200 undergraduate and graduate students and more than 100 full- and part-time faculty members. Accredited in both business and accounting by AACSB, the Bryan School is the recipient of many honors and accolades. Our students perform well in national competitions and have won numerous awards and our faculty members are active in scholarly research. The MEHT Department emphasizes hands-on learning experiences to go with typical classroom activities.

Position Summary:The MEHT Department in the Bryan School of Business and Economics at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time non-tenure track position at the rank of Lecturer in its hospitality and tourism program. The appointment is in the Department of Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Hospitality & Tourism beginning Fall 2020.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The selected candidate will teach 8 undergraduate courses/sections per year in the area of hospitality. Additionally, service to the Department, School, and/or University is expected and may include a leadership role in professional service and industry outreach.
Minimum Qualifications:MBA, MS/MA, or PhD in an area related to Hospitality and/or Tourism.
Preferred Qualifications:- Preference will be given to candidates with a record of accomplishment in the areas of hotel management and revenue management.
- A background in food and beverage management, tourism management, and/or experience with hospitality certification programs is a plus.
