Master’s degree, and at least one conferred degree in Music with percussion as a major applied instrument area.Preferred

The Sul Ross State University Music Program of the Department of Fine Arts and Communication seeks a skilled percussionist educator to serve as a part-time Instructor of Percussion. The applicant will teach Percussion Methods, Individual Instruction in Percussion, and other courses based on interest and departmental needs. The candidate is able to grow the position by recruiting students. The candidate is expected to assist with the management of the University’s percussion equipment in partnership with the Director of Bands. Routine travel to the Alpine campus is expected, and the specifics of the schedule will be worked out between the successful applicant and the Program.
Position is Security Sensitive.

The Department of Biology, Geology, and Physical Sciences offers BS and MS degrees in biology, chemistry, and geology. The graduate programs in Biology and Geology enrolls approximately thirty students each, primarily thesis seeking.
