The McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia invites experienced applicants for a non-tenure-track position as a part-time Lecturer of Commerce in the Management Area. This part-time wage position will involve teaching two sections of Management Communication during the 2020-2021 school year at the graduate level for the Master of Science in the Management of Information Technology program. Given the module-based structure of this course, the bulk of teaching will occur over nine in-person teaching days between mid-September and June, with several additional days of activities related to assignments and presentations primarily online. No research responsibilities are associated with this position.

Required qualifications for the position include:

1) an earned graduate degree or Ph.D. (in a relevant field),

2) prior teaching experience at a collegiate level or evidence for potential success in this area,

3) relevant professional experience.

Currently, the McIntire School of Commerce (http://www.commerce.virginia.edu) awards a Bachelor of Science in Commerce, a Master of Science in the Management of Information Technology, a Bachelor of Science in Business Analytics, a Master of Science in Accounting, and Master of Science in Commerce. McIntire is recognized for excellence and innovation in undergraduate and graduate business education and scholarship. In the 2014 annual ranking of undergraduate business programs, Bloomberg Businessweek magazine ranked the McIntire School of Commerce second in the nation; the only school to be ranked amongst the top two every year since the list's inception.
