The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for the Recreation Center's Facility Staff position. Staff members create a welcoming and inclusive environment for Rec Center patrons. They oversee the day to day operations of the Rec Center. Campus Recreation and Wellness offers a healthy, friendly work atmosphere and is able to accommodate student schedules and extracurricular activities.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

The student will:

  • Enforce all policies and procedures.
  • Respond to emergencies in a tactful manner.
  • Maintain and clean all fitness equipment.
  • Check out gym equipment.
  • Provide basic information about machine use and necessary adjustments.
  • Be required to work a minimum of 10 hours a week.
  • Be required to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED training through the American Red Cross within 1 month of employment (can be obtained through the department for free).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Self-motivator.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30lbs.
Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
