Job Responsibilities

This position requires the use of multiple delivery methods. Help develop and deliver instruction for courses within the department which include LPN and ADN content as well as clinical mentoring and supervision. Be organized, prepared and student centered to meet the standards of the department and college. Have the ability to work flexible hours and travel to other campuses within our service area. Maintain office hours for student advisement and guidance. Participate in professional development seminars and workshops as well as promoting the college.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) with 18 or more graduate hours in nursing, three of past five years of experience in nursing service/nursing education and current license to practice in SC.

Preferred Qualifications

Licensed registered nurse with a graduate degree in nursing (MSN), license as a registered nurse must be active and unencumbered in SC or another compact state; two years clinical experience as a registered or advanced practice nurse related to the field of primary responsibility, experience in nursing education preferred. Previous teaching and simulations experience in nursing is preferred.

Additional Comments

Teaching duties include day and evening hours at community campuses and hospitals/healthcare facilities. Will be required to travel to and supervise students in clinical sites. Driver's license required.
