Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Radiology

Diagnostic Imaging - Neuroradiology

The Division of Neuroradiology in the Department of Radiology at UHealth, University of Miami Health System and the University of Miami Leonard Miller School of Medicine, is seeking fellowship-trained, CAQ certified or eligible candidates for a full-time faculty position at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the clinical educator track. Responsibilities of the candidate will include providing diagnostic interpretations of plain film, CT and MR studies. The position will involve providing coverage from 12-9 pm Monday through Sunday; on a one week on and one week off schedule

The successful applicant will join eight fellowship trained CAQ’ed neuroradiologists and who will interpret images from multiple facilities including Jackson Memorial Hospital, a 1600-bed primary and tertiary care County hospital; and from the University of Miami Hospitals and Clinics with an acute care in-patient facility, UHealth Tower with 550-beds . In addition to in-patient imaging, there are several off-site outpatient-imaging clinics. Outpatient volumes are substantial and have grown over 5% year over year for many years. In addition, plans are underway to further expand the University of Miami footprint in South Florida in the form of additional clinics and ambulatory centers with complete imaging services.

The Division of Neuroradiology trains many radiology residents and medical students and offers a one-year neuroradiology imaging fellowship (six fellows per year). There are multiple research opportunities in both basic and advanced neuroradiology, with a dedicated research magnet available. Both junior faculty, as well as more senior candidates with an academic record commensurate with experience, will be considered. Responsibilities will include providing clinical imaging services, consultation, and conferences; teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows; and engagement in research. Participation in institutional committees and professional organizations is encouraged.

The potential candidate must have completed their radiology training and have passed the ABR core exam or be ABR certified as well as be eligible for a Florida unrestricted medical license. The ideal candidate for this position will have completed a fellowship in Neuroradiology with some amount of training in advanced neuroimaging. Candidate should be eligible or CAQ’ed in Neuroradiology.
