Description:

Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine,  your clinical responsibilities at UMC and Tulane Medical Center will include 4 half days clinic at UMC and 1 half day clinic at TMC. You will have 1 half day administration time at UMC.  You will also attend  inpatient consultation rounds, and will rotate weekend and holiday on-call with the other members of the section of Endocrinology.  You will supervise Endocrinology  fellows and Internal Medicine residents and be expected to participate in all of the section’s educational activities including Medicine Grand Rounds. 

Your Academic Responsibilities will include attending section educational programs when convenient and teaching fellows/ residents and students in clinic and 2-3 lectures per year. Assist other faculty in patient recruitment in clinical trials, and work on academic development consistent with personal growth so that you will be eligible for future promotions.

The above responsibilities are assessed from time to time by your Department and are subject to change based on the needs of the University.


 


Qualifications:
  • M.D. who has successfully completed an Endocrinology fellowship program.
  • You will have 24 month to pass the ABIM certified exam in Endocrinology
