Preferred QualificationsPosition Summary

The University of Georgia is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of a HR Practitioner in the Onboarding & Records and Workforce Administration team.

This position was created to support the ongoing work of the implementation of OneUSG Connect. Incumbents will serve as independent and effective HR practitioners, working as members of UGA’s Office of Human Resources. Work includes supporting daily operations that are responsible for the processing of applicant onboarding data OR by conducting specific tasks is it relates to the implementation of OneUSG Connect. This is a highly responsible position and will collaborate with team members to provide efficient and effective HR services to the university community, in addition to interpreting policies, procedures, laws, and regulations for departments university-wide.

This is a full-time limited term position ending in December 2020 with potential to become permanent positions.

Duties/Responsibilities

- Provides a range of human resources support including data entry in the employment process.

Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Enter and validate employee personal and payroll data.
- Investigate and respond to or refer customer inquiries regarding payroll processing or records.
- Generate, verify and/or process employment documentation related to employee hiring, including onboarding and offboarding processes
Maintain assigned records and files.
- Recommends and implements enhancements to current departmental human resources processes, procedures, and programs.

Performs a variety of employment activities including onboarding, updating employment data, and off boarding processes.

Assists campus community with actions including but not limited to policy and program administration, compliance with applicable laws, and procedures and processes. Conducts compliance assigned work within a department/unit/division. This can include I-9 and E-Verify compliance.

Works on employment projects to include, but not limited to, data collection, analysis, and presentation. This includes analyzing queries and drawing appropriate conclusions which completely address all aspects of the topic or issue. Prepares and effectively communicates reports concerning human resources activities.
