Coordinator of Development Design and Marketing
Tracking Code475-280 Job DescriptionReporting to the Associate Vice President, the Coordinator supports programs for alumni, donors and students with social media, marketing and communications. The Coordinator works closely with the AVP and colleagues to define projects within the Division of Development and Alumni Engagement. The Coordinator will manage the creation print and digital marketing communications, including visual content development, design and production, publication and distribution.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Social media:
- Work with supervisor and colleagues to prepare a communication, marketing and social media plan for the division’s social media accounts
- Take independent and creative responsibility for the social media outreach with a concentration on maintaining and growing awareness and engagement among target audiences with the University
- Build a creative, dynamic, consistent and interesting social media voice and brand that is consistent with the overall Stetson branding
- Monitor analytics of our social media accounts to improve audience engagement
Marketing & Design:
- Design effective marketing materials (e.g. donor proposals, direct mail, postcards, flyers, inserts, newsletters) to be used across communication channels, including website, print, social and email
- Develop and execute marketing ideas to promote events and programs
- Work closely with the team to execute design needs from content marketing calendars and adhere to deadlines
- Create and edit short videos using video software
- Evaluate progress using data analytics and update priorities with direction from supervisor
ROUTINE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contribute ideas, input and support to initiatives, decisions and communications with marketing and communications implications
- Develop concepts, layouts and final production files, keeping accurate and current data information
- Take photos as needed
- Follow content calendars and work with multiple departments
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field of study
Required Skills- Strong organizational and written/oral communication skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines
- Ability to support, contribute to, and strengthen a vibrant, culturally diverse, and inclusive learning community of students, alumni, faculty and fellow professionals
- Ability to anticipate, deliver on, and exceed the expectations of constituents and colleagues
- Ability to collaborate with others as a primary means to achieve results
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field of study required
- Experience and skill in creating print, digital and social media marketing communications for varied audiences
- Experience with InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, photography and videography
