The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville is inviting applicants for a full-time Neonatologist position in the Division of Neonatology as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor Full Professor at a tenure/non-tenure level depending on qualifications. Our clinical neonatology program staffs five (5) area Level 1 through Level 4 Neonatal Intensive Care Units.  The Level 3 and Level 4 units admit 700 and 650 neonates per year, respectively.  All outborn neonates born in Florida within the Jacksonville catchment area with birth weights less than 1001 grams are transferred to the Level 3 of Level 4 NICU allowing for geographically robust clinical studies in the highest risk population. We also receive neonates from Southeastern Georgia and the Florida Panhandle.  We are an active participant in the Vermont-Oxford Network and in the Florida Perinatal Quality Collaborative.

We are looking for individuals who have demonstrated a zest for teaching of pediatric residents and advanced practice providers, continued personal professional development, an affinity for continuous quality improvement and/or outcomes-based research, and skills in working as part of a large team.  Preference will be given to individuals who have a track record of mentoring junior faculty in their clinical development and academic endeavors and/or have experience with collaborative multicenter research or large data sets.
