The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine, is now accepting applications for additional faculty at the Assistant or Associate Professor level or above with a tenure-track or fixed-term appointment.

The School, located near the Outer Banks of North Carolina, is nationally recognized for its educational excellence and commitment to primary care training, and our teaching hospital serves a 1.3 million rural population catchment area.

The Division currently consists of faculty members with active educational, clinical, leadership, and research roles.

The ECU Brody School of Medicine is affiliated with Vidant Medical Center. VMC is the flagship hospital for Vidant Health and serves as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.

Job Duties

This position will provide care primarily in the out-patient setting, but may also spend a small portion of time providing care on the in-patient academic hospitalist service.

Out-patient duties will be a mixture of private faculty clinics and supervising residents seeing patients in our out-patient clinic.

Minimum Education/Experience

MD or DO from an appropriately accredited institution.

Must be Board Certified or Eligible in Internal Medicine.

License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation

North Carolina Medical License
