Description:

The Research Assistant Professor will design and conduct research on the molecular mechanisms of retinal development and disease.  This position involves studying the role of key genes, including microRNAs, IncRNAs and protein-coding genes, in angiogenesis, aging and vascular diseases using mouse genetic models and human models.  The candidate is expected to be highly self-motivated with excellent communication skills. The job responsibilities include experimental design, data collection and interpretation, and presentation in professional meetings and publication in peer reviewed journals.


Qualifications:

Ph.D. degree in Biological Sciences or related field with extensive research experience in genetics, molecular biology, and/or developmental biology.  Experience with mouse genetics also preferred.
