Position Description

Adjunct Faculty, Associates and Bachelors inChristian Ministry Leadership for Online Adults teaching in the Department ofReligion, National and Global Campus of Indiana Wesleyan University



Required: Amaster's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the disciplinesstated in the position description.

Preferred: D.Min., Ph.D., or other doctorate with aminimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the disciplines stated in the positiondescription.

ProfessionalCredentials: Fluent in English and Spanish (reading,writing, speaking, translation)

Work Experience

Required: Twoyears of teaching experience with adult ministry students stated in theposition description. Three years ofministry in the local church.

Preferred: Three years teaching experience in adulthigher education online in the disciplines stated in the position description. Five years of ministry in the local church.


Required: Applicantmust demonstrate healthy and positive teaching, mentoring, or disciplingexperience in local church or denominational service. In addition, candidates must exhibitfamiliarity with Microsoft Word.

Preferred: Applicant will demonstrate healthy andpositive teaching, mentoring, or discipling experience in local church ordenominational service. In addition,candidates will exhibit experience in use of online learning managementsystems, Microsoft Office, and online, adult higher education administrativeexperience in program development, assessment, and curriculum.

Required Skills

•Demonstrated experience in online educational delivery tools.

•Demonstrates proficiency in English and Spanish (reading, writing, speaking, translation)

•Demonstrated online, adult teaching abilities.

•Demonstrated adult higher education administration experience in program development, assessment and curriculum work.

•Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft products.

•Demonstrated knowledge of adult learners.
