The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciencesin the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and PharmaceuticalSciences (SSPPS) is seeking applicants for a tenure-track position at the levelof assistant, associate or full professor with research interests in pharmaceuticalbiotechnology. Candidates will be expected to develop and maintain aninternationally competitive, extramurally funded research program andcontribute to teaching at both the Pharm.D. and Ph.D. levels in the SSPPS.Faculty rank and salary will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
Potential research areas include, but are not limited to, addressingprotein folding, stability and aggregation, bioengineering of pharmaceuticalmacromolecules, or high-concentration behavior of complex biologics. Approachesusing novel or emerging technologies, such as machine learning/AI, bioinformatics-aideddesign and synthetic biology, or single-molecule methods are encouraged. Suchindividuals will complement existing research efforts in protein structure andstability, enzymology, macromolecular interactions and physical virology.
TheDepartment of Pharmaceutical Sciences is a research-intensive and collaborativeenvironment focused in the areas of pharmaceutical biotechnology, toxicology, biophysics,nanomedicine and nanosafety, cancer pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, drugdiscovery, systems biology and clinical/translational sciences.
