Experience working with a curriculum and comfort with creating lesson plans

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist the Assistant Director of Residence Life (Academic Initiatives) with the successful creation of foundational documents and resources to guide staff in implementing a new Residential Curriculum
Work closely with the Residence Life Team on matters related to the development of the Residential Curriculum including creation and review of lesson plans and educational plan templates and the development of assessment strategies
Create training materials including Canvas modules and presentations to communicate essential skills to student staff in the implementation of the Residential Curriculum
Assist in the development of facilitation guides and lesson plans for the Department’s Leadership Team workshop series for new members (Hall Council)
Help build and maintain collaborative relationships with campus partners
Complete assigned projects and tasks in a creative, efficient, and timely manner

Other Work/Responsibilities

Attend Departmental and Divisional meetings/trainings as assigned
Assist in the development of facilitation guides and materials for the Department’s Leadership Team workshop series for new members (Hall Council)
Serve on an additional committee including Student Staff Selection and Recruitment, Student Staff Training, or Leadership Programs as determined by the candidate and their supervisor
Serve in the Residence Life Pro Staff on Duty rotation a minimum of 1 day/month and 1 weekend per semester
Other Duties as assigned
