Job Description/Duties:Run one-to-one or small-group sessions, modeling how best to study for and think about content for a variety of courses.
Days/Hours Needed:Fall semester Training Class (INT210) is held every Thursday from 2:50 until 4:05 pm starting September 1st until December 15 excluding Thanksgiving. Weekly tutoring schedule is flexible. First tutoring sessions are usually held during weekday evenings (5-9 PM) with follow-up sessions held during ASAP tutoring center hours of operation. The number of paid tutoring hours can vary.

Required Qualifications:Candidates must be willing to participate in a fall semester-long, two credit training course. After 25 hours of paid tutoring and successful completion of the course, candidates earn the College Reading and Learning Association Certification as a Level 1 Tutor. This certification is necessary for continued employment as a peer tutor once the course is completed.

Special Conditions for Eligibility:To be considered for the training class (INT210) a candidate must be recommended by a professor for a course the candidate wants to tutor. A candidate must also have a GPA of 2.5 or higher and have earned a B or higher in courses to be tutored.
