Job Summary:
The Data Management & Integrity Coordinator provides critical support to the Development Systems team by maintaining constituent data in Raiser's Edge, the central constituent database, and supporting data querying and reporting efforts. This position also provides administrative support to the Associate Vice President of Strategic Development Operations. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Data Management & Integrity.

Responsibilities:

Development Systems Support:

In coordination with Assistant Director of Data Management & Integrity, support the maintenance of constituent data in Raiser's Edge by carrying out constituent record updates and changes in the database. Create new constituent records. Perform weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual database clean-up efforts.

Gain in-depth knowledge of plug-ins, importing and executing global changes in Raiser's Edge. Demonstrate knowledge by running plug-ins and global changes under the direction of the Assistant Director of Data Management & Integrity.

Ensure that all data entry work adheres to Development Systems' Raiser's Edge policies and processes. Ensure that all data entry work is accurate and timely, and that deadlines are successfully met.

In coordination with Assistant Director of Data Management & Integrity, support development and maintenance of Raiser's Edge procedures and training materials.

In coordination with the Assistant Director of Data Management & Integrity and the Assistant Director of Gift Management, support the regular generation and mailing of monthly pledge reminders.

In coordination with Assistant Director of Data Management & Integrity, support the training of Development staff on Raiser's Edge NXT as well as other Blackbaud software and applications.

Serve as a “power user” of Raiser's Edge, and demonstrate expert knowledge of the system via the creation of queries, exports and reports.

Prepare reports, lists, labels, spreadsheets, mail-merge files, etc. for Development staff and other areas on campus as needed. Translate written or verbal communication from the requester to appropriate and accurate selection criteria.

Aid and support the Development Systems team in moving to a self-service environment, including establishing dashboards and reports.

Collaborate with the Assistant Director of Data Management & Integrity and the Development Systems team to capture and track metrics to facilitate team benchmarking and measurement efforts.

Cross train in other Development Systems tasks to assist during busy times of the year, including registering gifts, processing gifts, posting gifts to the general ledger and running gift receipts.

Strategic Development Operations Support:

Support the calendar of the Associate Vice President of Strategic Development Operations, including scheduling meetings and maintaining meeting information on the Outlook calendar. Prepare meeting materials as needed. Provide assistance for general travel arrangements as needed.

Order supplies for the AVP of Strategic Development Operations, as well as the Development Systems team as needed.

Manage administrative activities such as invoices and purchases for the AVP of Strategic Development Operations, as well as the Development Systems team as needed. Maintain subscriptions as needed.

Other Responsibilities:

Completes performance review process with supervisor to understand job performance expectations and how they fit into the department and university goals.

Adhere to the ethical and confidentiality guidelines of the Development Office, CASE and APRA. Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and responsibility regarding information related to University business and confidential constituent data.

Contributes to the creation of a diverse, equitable and inclusive work culture that encourages and celebrates differences.

Participate in office and division staff meetings.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Education/Skill Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree required. Past Raiser's Edge database experience highly preferred. Proficiency and fluency in database maintenance preferred and confidential information highly preferred. Experience in a nonprofit or higher education setting preferred.

Responsible for own work. May assist or instruct others doing similar work, including student workers.

Tasks involve multiple procedures with interrelated processes and steps. Work involves choosing the appropriate option or procedure to follow and applying the established rules and procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of principles, ethics and practices of fundraising. A desire to develop a foundational understanding of advancement and an appreciation for the importance of data management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to work accurately with numbers.
  • Team player with a can-do attitude and a passion for our shared work as an organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively organize and coordinate multiple priorities.
  • Problem solving abilities paired with excellent judgment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Effective project management skills, including setting and meeting deadlines; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Time management skills with the ability to balance multiple duties and tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Ability to produce all reports in a timely manner.
