The Department of Medicine, Section of Hematology/Oncology at Tulane University School of Medicine is actively recruiting a Hematologist with an interest in non-malignant hematology including hemostasis, thrombosis, and platelet and red cell disorders.

This successful candidate will be expected to participate in the multi-disciplinary activities of the Louisiana Center for Bleeding and Clotting Disorders, a large, federally funded center for patients with hemostatic disorders.  The ideal candidate will be able to participate in the clinical, educational and research missions of the section and the Louisiana Center for Bleeding and Clotting Disorders.  The ideal candidate will have clinical expertise in hemostasis, thrombosis and/or hemoglobinopathies as well as clinical and/or translational research experience.  In addition, we are looking for candidates with an interest in medical education, to provide training in benign hematology for fellows, residents and students.  The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead clinical research projects, and initiate and oversee patient-focused programs with the support of an outstanding comprehensive care team.

Qualifications:

Candidates must qualify for appointment at the Assistant/Associate Professor level, be board certified in internal medicine and board eligible/certified in Hematology.  Rank and compensation will be commensurate with the level of qualifications and experience.
