The Department of Urology at the University of Florida College of Medicine is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgeon and Fellowship-Trained Female Urologist at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level for a full-time faculty position
Background. The University of Florida (UF) Department of Urology at UF Health Shands Hospital is a tertiary referral center that serves the population of North Central Florida, Southern Georgia and surrounding communities. The candidate would join the department, which has 12 full-time and part-time urologists who support general, endourology, urologic oncology, female, pediatric, male-infertility and reconstructive urologic surgery. In addition, the candidate would have a joint appointment at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville, FL. The University of Florida is ranked 7th in the top public schools in the nation. UF College of Medicine is one of 16 colleges within the university and these additional colleges provide an environment rich in cross departmental collaborations. In 2019, NIH funding at the UF College of Medicine exceeded $124M.
Job Description. We are seeking a candidate with clinical experience in all aspects of care for Female Urology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery. The candidate would joining another fellowship trained FPMRS surgeon in treating patients, educating residents, and participating in research. The candidate would be expected to collaborate with members of the Department of OB/GYN. The preferred candidate would have expertise in the evaluation and treatment of pelvic floor disorders, including female urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse.
Rank will be based on experience. This is a non-tenure track appointment.
Applicants must have a M.D. or equivalent degree, be licensed in or license eligible in the State of Florida, and be board certified or board eligible.
