The UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI-ST. LOUIS Department of Accounting invites applications for a non-tenure track position at the Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor of Accounting level, beginning August 2020. With nearly 16,000 students, the University is the largest public research university in eastern Missouri. It serves a diverse student body whose influence on the region upon graduation is immense.

The AACSB-accredited College of Business Administration offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees in a variety of business disciplines. Within the College, the separately AACSB-accredited Accounting program offers a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Accounting. The Master of Accounting program has an outstanding career placement rate and is one of the top programs in the state of Missouri in terms of CPA Exam pass rates. The Accounting Department is a collegial workplace comprised of faculty members with a variety of professional and educational backgrounds.

Essential tasks that must be performed include: teaching graduate and undergraduate courses and providing service to the department, the College, the University, the accounting profession and/or the wider community.

Ideal candidates will have a master’s degree or higher in Accounting (or the equivalent) from an AACSB-accredited university before the start date. Certified Public Accountants with significant professional experience will also be considered. Our foremost teaching needs currently are in Taxation and Managerial accounting. We seek colleagues who will enthusiastically approach teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Salary and benefits are competitive.
