Instructor, Part-time, for Non-Credit Continuing Education Soft Skills Classes (JOB CODE: SOFT SKILLS)
The Division of Continuing Education, invites applications for instructors to teach non-credit courses (half-day through multi-day) to adult learners at various locations throughout New Jersey. Instructors will develop and present course material during the assigned course times, coordinate materials with Program Coordinator, and follow-up with paperwork. Course topics include but are not limited to: Soft Skills, such as Leadership, Communication Skills, Business Writing and Supervisory Skills.

Characteristics, Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality and technically relevant instruction, assessment, and feedback in lecture and laboratory
  • Teaches material from approved curriculum
  • Maintain daily attendance
  • Monitor students’ performance to make suggestions for improvement and to ensure that they satisfy course standards, training requirements, and objectives
  • Motivates students to actively participate in all aspects of the educational process
  • Assist with course/program evaluation.

The Division of Continuing Education, invites applications for instructors to teach non-credit courses (half-day through multi-day) to adult learners at various locations throughout New Jersey. Instructors will develop and present course material during the assigned course times, coordinate materials with Program Coordinator, and follow-up with paperwork.

Course topics include the Adobe Creative Cloud. Instructor must be an Adobe Certified Expert.

The Division of Continuing Education, invites applications for technology instructors to teach non-credit courses (half-day through multi-day) to adult learners at various locations throughout New Jersey. Instructors will develop and present course material during the assigned course times, coordinate materials with Program Coordinator, and follow-up with paperwork.

This position will teach the Cisco CCNA Curriculum. This individual must have a strong knowledge of the CISCO CCNA course material, handling of equipment, and be approved as a CISCO Certified Academy Instructor (CCAI). This course is designed to teach CISCO CCNA to prepare entry – mid level participants to gain the competencies needed to be successful in the field and prepare them to pass the new CCNA Exam.

Characteristics, Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality and technically relevant instruction, assessment, and feedback in lecture and laboratory
  • Teaches material from approved curriculum
  • Maintain daily attendance
  • Monitor students’ performance to make suggestions for improvement and to ensure that they satisfy course standards, training requirements, and objectives
  • Motivates students to actively participate in all aspects of the educational process
  • Assist with course/program evaluation.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university in the Information Technology or required field; Must be approved as a CISCO Certified Academy Instructor (CCAI).

Experience:

  • 5+ years’ in the field with experience in troubleshooting and maintaining operating systems
  • 2+ years’ experience developing technology curriculums
  • 2+ years of instructional experience in teaching and similar field

Instructor – Part-time, for Non-Credit Continuing Education Child Development Associate Certificate (CDA) (JOB CODE: CDA)
The Division of Continuing Education, invites applications for instructors to teach non-credit courses (half-day through multi-day) to adult learners at various locations throughout New Jersey. Classes may run during the day, in the evenings and on weekends. This program will also run during the summer semester. Instructors will develop and present course material during the assigned course times, coordinate materials with Program Coordinator, and follow-up with paperwork. Course topics include but are not limited to: Child Development Associate and Child Development Renewal. Candidate must be licensed by the Child Development Associate National Credentialing Program.
