Audit all payments subject to fraud and those subject to the Public Records Act to ensure compliance. Actively participates in the planning, organization and operation of the Travel Division of the Accounting & Fiscal Services organization. Presenter/facilitates the Policy Workshops for Campus and the Medical Center. Prepares and update policies and best practices workshop PowerPoint presentation.Compensation Range: Hourly: $23.58 - $26.00Department Website: http://accounting.uci.edu/Required:Graduation from college with a major in business administration, accounting, economics, statistics, or educational administration, plus a minimum of 3 - 5 years related experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Independently demonstrates experience to exercise discretion and confidentiality of financial data and personnel matters and to handle sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy. Advanced analytical and communication skills; both verbal and written. Ability to independently analyze information, interprets data, define problems and identify relevant factors. Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to prioritize assignments when faced with heavy workload and competing deadlines. Ability to work independently and follow through with minimal direction. Ability to establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with a wide variety of individuals. Ability to communicate in an appropriate manner with people at all levels of the organization and from diverse backgrounds. Experience working as part of a team, establishing rapport with customers and co-workers. Advanced skill with Microsoft Office or similar programs in order to create documents, spreadsheets, reports, and databases as related to financial analysis. Preferred:Working knowledge of Kuali, Electronic Fund Transfers processing, General Ledger Inquire, and on-line transfer of expense. Detailed knowledge of Federal and State regulations that pertain to payment to individuals. Advanced skill with computerized information systems to gather information and to prepare online transactions. Final candidate subject to background check.
