The department of Pharmacology is seeking an animal focused technician to do research on Alzheimer disease, Parkinson's disease and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. The applicant will be able to participate in exciting cell biology studies exploring the pathophysiology of these illnesses, and supply to the development of novel therapeutic agents. The responsibilities include 1) running our colony of mice (including genotyping and breeding) 2) performing behavioral studies and procedures related to the mice, 3) performing molecular and immunochemical experiments in collaboration with other laboratory members.

Required Skills

The applicant must be strongly motivated, able to work independently and possess a strong ability to coordinate data. In addition, have good social skills. The applicant must have a bachelors degree and prior laboratory experience. Compensation is dependent on experience.
