This position assists with all types of game day operations in the course of home game events. Responsibilities may include but not limited to, maintaining scores, concessions, ticket sales, public address announcer, etc.

MAJOR DUTIES:

Duties may include any or all of the following:

• Sell concessions

• Public Address Announcer

• Operate camera for live-streaming of events

• Maintain statistics

• Sell event tickets

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION:

• Computer competency

• Ability to work with the public

• Punctuality and dependability

• Basic math skills

SUPERVISORY CONTROLS: The Sports Information Director assigns work in terms of detailed and specific instructions. The supervisor spot-checks work in progress and upon completion for accuracy, adequacy, and adherence to instructions and established guidelines.

GUIDELINES:

• These guidelines are clear and specific, requiring little interpretation in application.

• Guidelines include those of Middle Georgia State University (MGA) and National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).

COMPLEXITY/SCOPE OF WORK:

• The work consists of directly related game-day operations duties. Successful performance contributes to the operations of event support.

CONTACTS:

• Contacts are typically with co-workers, university personnel, students, and members of the general public.

• Contacts are typically to provide services.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• The work is typically performed while sitting at a desk or table or while intermittently sitting, standing, stooping, walking, bending or crouching. The employee occasionally lifts light and heavy objects, climbs ladders, uses tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity, and distinguishes between shades of color.

• The work is typically performed in an office, in sports facilities, and outdoors, occasionally in cold or inclement weather. The employee may be exposed to machinery with moving parts.

• Night and weekend work is required.

• Travel may be required.

SUPERVISORY AND MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY:

• This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma.

COMPENSATION CLASSIFICATION:

• This position is part-time.
