Job Summary:

Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, classroom and lab instruction of computer-aided drafting; professional leadership in the development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum; advising and recruitment of students; attendance at graduation ceremonies; participation in professional development activities; maintenance of inventory of equipment and supplies; and cooperation with the various administrative functions of the college. The Drafting Instructor will be required to participate in off-campus recruiting and promotional activities and supervise students in off-campus intern positions and other related work as assigned. Teaching assignment may include day, evening, dual enrolled and early college high school classes. This is a tenure track position.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate degree from an accredited college is required. Autocad Certification. Three years of recent experience in the field and/or relevant teaching experience. Experience and/or certifications may possibly be substituted for a portion of the education requirement. Ability to understand the teaching and evaluation methodologies used in the total instructional process. Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff members in a professional manner. Must demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of students from diverse backgrounds. Ability to plan, schedule, and manage projects and assignments. Ability to establish effective working relationships with others. Ability to clearly communicate. Must comply with established College rules and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from accredited college.
Five years of recent experience in the field.

Salary:

$39,000, 9-Month Faculty, Tenure Track

Work Hours:

Full-time Faculty; may include teaching day and evening classes.
